The site represents the whole of the Harris Children’s Home Conservation Area, a collection of listed buildings and a Grade II listed Historic Park and Garden. It is a highly important heritage asset in historical, social and aesthetic terms. There are two main elements to the proposals, each designed to complement one another and unified by landscaping proposals. The first element is the erection of extensions to the rear elevations of the four detached Grade II listed villas. The second element is the development of the existing open field containing three large modernist houses. We believe the proposed development would deliver a sustainable development which would preserve, conserve and, in part, enhance the heritage designations of an important historic site.
